Istanbul, Turkey (KurdishMedia.com) 11 May 2008: During the celebration of the foundation of the state of Israel at the embassy of Israel in Turkey, Turkish General Stuff Buyukanit stated that he had a surprise and would explain it soon. And expected statement came at last. He stated that one of the prominent members of PKK, Cemil Bayik, fled to Iran and they were in search of him. According to Buyukanit they would capture or kill him soon. As a part of psychological war, for months Turkish authorities said that they captured high ranking PKK members.

On 9 May when Turkish authorities told that they had a surprise again, they encountered with one of the biggest surprises at recently. At the same date and time, PKK attacked on a Turkish military base in Bézelé, Shemzdinan neighboring South Kurdistan.

Kurdish sources such as Roj TV and daily Gundem stated that at these attacks more than 25 soldiers lost their lives and most of the building of military base was destroyed and many military vehicles were set on fire. In this raid two Kurdish guerrillas lost their lives. This has been a great disappointment for military and political authority.

Turkish authorities often say that the most important part of this war is its psychological aspect. So the Turkish army always conceals its loss’ and exaggerate its triumphs. But after having been beaten at Oramar, Zap and Bézelé, it can’t hide them.
