Nawshirwan and Jawhar Namiq will lead the "List for Change"

London (KurdishMedia.com) 10 May 2009: From information received by Hawlati newspaper, Nawshirwan Mustafa will himself be the leader of the "List for Change" while Jawhar Namiq and Kwestan Muhammad will be the second and third individuals in the list respectively.

A source close to Wusha Corporation revealed that Nawshirwan Mustafa has started drawing up a list of candidates for his parliamentary bloc, it will start with 500 names which will be gradualy cut down to 100 candidates.

This source told Hawlati that: "the criteria is that they (The candidates) are couragous, loyal and not corrupt, and the candidates will represent kurdish society in terms of geography, gender and age".

The source also stated that the first person in the list will be Nawshirean Mustafa, the second person will be Jawhar Namiq, former speaker of the Kurdistan parliament and president of the KDP and that the third person is a lady, Kwestan Muhammad who currently heads the PUK bloc in the parliament.

A ource close to Jawhar Namiq told hawlati "Mr Namiq will be the second person in the list which is to be headed by Nawshirwan Mustafa".

A political commentator who requested annonymity stated that it is difficult to overestimate Jawhar Namiqs popularity within the KDP. He said "the inclusion of Jawhar Namiq will mean that the disecnhanted KDP cadres and supporters will also vote for "The list for Change".
