Kurdish activist Fattahian executed in Iran

London (KurdishMedia.com) 11 November 2009: Ehsan Fattahian, 28 years old, charged with acting against national security in the lower court, sentenced originally to 10 years in exile, was executed today, Wednesday,11 November 2009.

Fattahian was arrested in July 2009 and charged with acting against national security by branch of the Revolutionary Court in Sanandaj. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison in Ramhormoz provinces. The ruling was protested by his lawyer and by the Public Prosecutor of Kamyaran provinces, who demands for death sentence.

This week the appealing court has rejected the lawyers appeal and accepted the Public Prosecutor demand.
