Date and time: Monday, 5 March 2012, 18:30 until 21:00

Khalili Lecture Theatre (KLT): SOAS University of London, Thornhaugh Street, Russell Square, London WC1H 0XG, UK

The WHAM Project would like to invite you to the SOAS University of London's Khalili Lecture Theatre to celebrate Newroz (which is the Kurdish New Year) as well as raise awareness of the WHAM Project's work and aims.

The WHAM Project (standing for Wisdom, Humanity, Academic, Movement) is a volunteer run, non-profit organisation set-up in aid of enriching the education of children living in Kurdistan, who have no or limited access to an education. The WHAM Project was founded in 2010 originally by a small team of students all studying various degree courses across the UK.

We will put on an evening of Kurdish performances, refreshments and members of The WHAM Project would like to talk about the people and community we're currently trying to help and where all money we raise goes. This night will be a chance for you to meet the team behind The WHAM Project and we hope that we can tell you exactly what our work is all about, how you can help and answer any questions you may have.

With more performers to be confirmed the line-up so far includes:

Mansour Izadpanah (Vocals and quitar)

Venge Dur (Sounds of the Far)

Zana, Lanja, Aria (JE group)
